Andy Lee is a proud member of the Mile High Club.
The topic came up as Andy spoke to news.com.au about his new Channel 9 show, The Hundred With Andy Lee, which premieres tonight.
“Essentially it’s a quiz for three panellists and their job is to try and guess what Australia thinks and feels about a range of topics,” Andy said about the show which premieres tonight at 8.45pm. “And there’s 100 people live from their homes representing a cross-section of Australia that we can poll live and get the stories behind the stats.”
Two episodes of the show have been filmed and Andy has already been shocked by some of the results from the live poll.
“In episode two I found out 27 per cent of people keep Vegemite in the fridge,” a baffled Andy said. “That’s what I love about this show. The way you live, you think everyone lives that way.
“I was also pretty shocked when I asked, ‘Does everyone sleep in the nude?’ thinking it would be about 85 per cent,” Andy, who sleeps naked, said. “But it turns out I’m in the minority on that one!”
In each episode, Andy will be joined by comedian Mike Goldstein and a number of other celebrity guests including Tom Gleeson, Hamish Blake, Becky Lucas, Rhys Nicholson and Sophie Monk.
“I thought Sophie Monk was an open book. Just when you thought the book couldn’t get any more open, it happened,” Andy laughed. “She came off at the end of that episode and went, ‘I don’t think I want my fiance seeing a fair bit of that!’
“My favourite [Sophie Monk] bit was we were talking about what percentage of Australians who can’t swim. One of the great comedians on the show made a Harold Holt reference [the former Australian prime minister who disappeared while swimming near Portsea in 1967] but Sophie didn’t know who Harold Holt was,” Andy said.
“Sophie also talks about what she does in the bathroom which shocked the hell out of me,” he added.
But let’s get back to the Mile High Club, shall we?
We decided to throw some curly questions, similar to the ones that will be asked on The Hundred, to Andy.
Here are the highlights from this answers.
Andy, have you ever sent a naked selfie?
