The closing of the Infinity Saga was a bittersweet moment for MCU fans. We effectively said goodbye to Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and fans were left to wonder what’s next. We were treated to four great “Avengers” films, and despite many solo character films, the team was always at the forefront. The Avengers, as we know them, are done, and we’ll never see the six heroes together on the big screen again, but there are still plenty of super people out there to perhaps fill their shoes.
The question of if a new group of Avengers will form remains on the minds of many MCU fans. If there isn’t another Avengers team, it’s more than likely we’ll see a second superhero group form under a different name. There are plenty of heroes to pull a team from these days, including the new Captain America (Anthony Mackie,) Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), to name a few. Are the Avengers really done? Will a different team form? Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has commented on those very questions, and we’re finally getting a little bit of clarity.
