As the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest and baddest threat to the Avengers within the pop culture phenomenon that was “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” it’s difficult to imagine anyone other than Josh Brolin as the smooth voice and purple face of the “Mad Titan,” Thanos. However, as the actor recently shared with ACE Universe, he might have never taken on the role if not for one key factor.
Brolin talked about a lot of his past, present and future roles during the interview, including his upcoming role in “Dune,” his work ethic as an actor and his interest in producing and directing more. However, the conversation turned to his iconic role as Thanos, where he opened up about how Marvel reached out to him and what exactly they had to say in order for him to accept the role. Before you say “money,” Brolin says that’s not the only reason he signed up for the gig.
